GSJUA Select Umpires
GSJUA Level III or Higher Umpires
To compliment GSJUA's new
Level's Program, this page will list all GSJUA Select Umpires.
GSJUA Select Umpires will be those umpires who have attained Level III
or higher. The requirements for Level III are as follows:
Prerequisites

Certified Level II umpire for a minimum of two (2) years.

Review board to approve official from Level II to Level III. Review board Local UIC, Trainer, Deputy UIC, and Association UIC, approval from all above by written approval signed by each.

Takes pride in their appearance on and off the field.

Has attended a Regional umpire school.

Has applied for Umpire Medal Program. (3 yrs).
Level III Training Requirements

Attend a Level III association Clinic on field, National School (FP or SP)

Obtain 85% or more on the Level III Amateur Softball exam.

Learn and understand the Three umpire field mechanics.

Official must attend a National School, once every five years.
Evaluations are on going
to determine which umpires currently meet the Level III criteria.
